Come out and enjoy the day! This year we are moving the City of Monroeville’s Olde Tymers Festival to Veterans Park , allowing Covid-19 social distancing guidelines. We are celebrating the 7th annual Old Tymer’s Antique Tractor ,Classic Car and Motorcycle Show Saturday, September 12, beginning 8 am. It will be a great day to enjoy viewing Farmalls, John Deere, Case, Ford, Kubota, and International Harvester tractors from the past. Trophies will be awarded for 1st,2nd and 3rd place. The Monroe County Antique Classic Car Club will host the Model T Ford Club of America and collaborating car clubs throughout Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. Registration for multiple Classic Car divisions will include: Antiques Model T’s and Model A’s , Street Rods, Rat Rods, Pick Up Trucks, Mustangs, Volkswagons , Sock Hops, and Motorcycles. To be considered an antique, vehicles must be older than 1995. There will be an Open Division Trophy Category for vehicles that wish to participate. A Registration Fee of $25 per entry is required. For participants with additional vehicles, cost is $15.00. Trophies will be awarded 1pm-2pm The Monroeville Market Days Farmers Market will be set up along with the Alabama Master Bee Keepers’ Association. They will have a live hive demonstration and honey for sale. Alabama Forestry Commission, Alabama Conservation and Natural Resources, Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries, and the Monroe County Soil and Water Conservation District will provide learning resource centers highlighting the agriculture of Monroe County. It will be a day of celebration for both young and old. Visit the Monroe County Hospital, Benbow Vineyards, Monroeville Golf Cart and Trailer photo booth. Get your family picture made with cowboy hats, bandannas, and props galore! Food Vendors and our local Monroeville Market Days Farmers Market will be on site featuring BBQ, Boiled Peanuts, Fresh Shelled Peas, Chilton County Peaches, Squash, Tomatoes, Local Honey, Baked Goods, Nachos, Pizza, Sno Cones, Funnel Cakes, and 20 flavors of Homemade Ice Cream.
There will be live entertainment featuring Brandon Norris and Hind Sight 2020 to clap your hands and stomp your feet. We encourage participants to bring chairs, sunscreen, beach towels and masks! Please practice 6 feet social distancing. Businesses, arts and crafts vendors are invited to set up for this event. Booth spaces are available for $25. Please register at Monroeville’s City Hall located at 125 East Claiborne Street next to the water tower. This year’s participants include Southern Farm and Supply, Smith Tractor ( John Deere), South Alabama Kubota and Rental, O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, and Lee Motor Company. Come spend the day with us! The Splash Pad and YMCA managed municipal pool will be open. $2 per person for non- members and no charge for paid 2020 pool pass seasonal members. There will be serving plenty of food and drinks to keep everyone cool.
